John performed as John Anthony early on as part of the duo
Anthony & Hays.

Tom Hays: Piano

They performed at Monmouth College,West Long Branch, NJ, Brookdale College,
Lincroft NJ. (Live performances on WBJB radio)

Later, John put back his last name and performed at
many coffeehouses and cafes as part of Blues Station and as a solo.
